Williams by Bachmann delivers a solid T1 duplex at a price that makes sense for the budget-conscious collector. The Reading green-and-gold scheme is attractively applied and the die-cast boiler has good weight and presence. The duplex wheel arrangement tracks well through curves and the motor runs quietly. Sound is conventional-only — no DCC or DCS — but the basic chuff and whistle are pleasant. For fans of the Reading or Pennsylvania duplex steam, this is an accessible way to own a unique prototype without flagship investment.
