The Santa Fe Super Chief in Lionel's O-gauge form is a showstopper on any layout. The warbonnet F3 A-unit gleams under layout lights, and the full-length passenger cars roll smoothly on clean track. Lighted interiors add atmosphere during night running. Legacy control provides excellent throttle and sound performance, including authentic diesel prime mover sounds and the Santa Fe's iconic horn. The set requires O-72 curves for the longer passenger cars, which limits smaller layouts. Overall, this is a top-tier passenger set that captures the glamour of 1950s rail travel beautifully.
